The business segments of Perfect World Pictures (PWPIC) include production, artist management, game and movie integration, international businesses, business derivatives, alongside investment and M&As. Perfect World Pictures reaped outstanding results with its popular TV series which took more than 10% of the prime-time slots in China. Its films and TV series have won many important awards both in and outside of China, including the Flying Goddess Award, the Magnolia Award, the Best Works Award, the Tripod Award, the Golden Angel Award for Chinese American Film Festival Outstanding Chinese TV Series, the Huabiao Film Award, the Hundred Flowers Award, the Golden Horse Award, and the Academy Award, among others. Perfect World has launched new leagues for DOTA 2 and CS since 2020. Through stable and professional leagues, the company has created a better gaming environment for professional teams and players of the two games. The DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) is the only official DOTA 2 league authorized by VALVE in the world, and the DPC points of the teams will directly affect their chances of securing a direct invite to the subsequent event of The Internationals (TIs). Perfect World hosts and operates the China DPC League, and the professional CS leagues like PAL and PPL held by Perfect World offer direct invites to the world’s top CS MAJOR championships.
Hosted by Perfect World, College League and City Challenge are prominent for domestic college students and gamers of DOTA 2 and CS. Since 2018, the College League and City Challenge have been held in more than 20 major cities in China every year during spring and autumn. Meanwhile, campus commentary incubation and the recruitment platform for e-sports college leagues also help build a more complete ecosystem for college e-sports events.

In October 2016, Perfect World Cinemas Management Co., Ltd. was established, with the primary aim of engaging in the management of single cinema and cinema chains, including cinema chain distribution, and cinema development, investment, construction, and screening, as well as surrounding business such as commodity retailing and advertising publication. Perfect World Animation is an animation company under Perfect World Group. Founded in 2015, it is engaged in the core businesses of animation development, production, distribution, merchandising and licensing, etc.
The animated series Cosmicrew I, the company’s three-year undertaking, has become the most viewed in its category since its launch in October 2018 and has been shown on over 100 Chinese TV channels including CCTV Children’s Channel and CCTV General Channel. Cosmicrew II also achieved high TV ratings upon its launch in September 2019. During its airing on BTV Kaku Kids Channel, its ratings consecutively ranked first in prime time. Cosmicrew III was telecasted on September 30, 2020. The show was selected as Outstanding Domestic Animated Program in 2018 as well as Outstanding Animated Program Donated to Minority Areas in 2019 by the China National Radio and Television Administration. The first two seasons of Cosmicrew were shortlisted for the 2020 Golden Monkey King Awards. Cosmicrew III was aired on BTV Kaku Kids Channel on January 25, 2021, with first-day ratings as high as 1.21%, and was awarded the outstanding animation by the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau. Within one week of its release, the viewership broke ten million. The Cosmicrew series was granted the title of Most Valuable IP in the 2021 Gold Wing Awards with more than 6 billion views across online video platforms, and Cosmicrew: Steel Armored T-Rex won the title of Most Popular Animation in the 2021 Golden Wings Awards. The production of Perfect World Animation’s first animated film Cosmicrew: Storm Force was screened at Perfect World Cinemas on April 15 and 16, 2023, followed by a nationwide release on April 29, 2023.
